About The Course
  • The Medical Terminology course teaches the language of medicine through component parts of medical terms: prefixes, suffixes and word roots. Emphasis is on spelling, definition and pronunciation. Introduction to operative, diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and symptomatic terminology of all major body systems.
  • The workbook/textbook provides case scenarios, illustrations and photographs on disease processes and procedures that provide extensive hands-on and visual experiences. This approach enhances the ability to learn in ways other than rote memorization.
